Remembering Nabeel Qureshi

Laura White

On 16th September 2017, the popular evangelist, Nabeel Qureshi died of stomach cancer.

The 34-year old speaker, best known for biography, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus, was an International Ministries speaker, alongside his mentor, Ravi Zacharias, until his diagnosis last summer. On September 8th he announced that there was cure and doctors had “given up” treating him.

Nabeel Qureshi was raised in a Pakistani-American Ahmadi family and came to faith whilst reading the Bible to debate with a medical school friend.

In his bestselling biography, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus; he documents his dramatic journey from Islam to Christianity, complete with friendships, investigations, and supernatural dreams along the way.

Described by Ravi Zacharias, as a ‘ Must read’, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus, provides an intimate window into a loving Muslim home. In his book, Qureshi shared how he developed a passion for Islam before discovering, almost against his will, evidence that Jesus rose from the dead and claimed to be God. Unable to deny the arguments but not wanting to deny his family, Qureshi’s inner turmoil will challenge Christians and Muslims alike.

He is also the author of No God but One: Allah or Jesus? and Answering Jihad: A Better Way Forward and had been working on another book.

He leaves behind his wife, Michelle, and daughter, Ayah.
