Motorbike missionary takes to the road

A motorbike loving missionary, who has pioneered a ragamuffin ministry among bikers and down-and-outs, is preparing to hit the road with stories of Jesus.

Sean Stillman is the founder of Zac’s place, a radical church in inner city Swansea.

Zac’s place began in 1998, born out of a desire to develop a ministry which would provide an opportunity for spiritual seekers from within the biking and arts communities to be able to engage with Christianity.

It is named after Zacchaeus, the despised tax collector whom Jesus chose as a friend.

Zac’s place evolved from regular meetings in pub function rooms frequented by an assortment of bikers, musicians, students, rough sleepers, and spiritual refugees, to become a ‘church for ragamuffins’ which now gathers in an old Gospel hall.

Now Sean who is the founding president of the UK chapter of ‘God’s Squad’ a motorcycle club which reaches out to Outlaw bikers, plans to take to the road on his Harley Davidson motorbike, to take some of the stories of Jesus, and experiences of ministry at Zac’s place, to friends in England.

Sean will visit Reading on Monday 10th of September, Cambridge on Tues 11th, Derby on Wed 12th, Leeds  on Thurs 13th, and rounding of his tour in Stoke  on Fri 14th.

The informal, evening gatherings are billed 'When Love Crosses the Great Divide – An Evening with Sean Stillman'.

Organisers hope they will provide an opportunity for anyone engaged in - or wanting to be engaged in - mission on the fringes to hear from someone working among the often chaotic street community and many involved in destructive patterns of behaviour.

Sean said: “The events won't be anything flashy ; just me – a bloke on a bike, the Sermon on the Mount, and 25 years-worth of stories from the margins.”

Sean is the real deal. And a great storyteller. Connect with him if you can.

I pray That Sean's Ministry will be well received; and that God's Holy Spirit will go before him to open up the hearts and soften them, for His Names Sake.
