The team at Cornerstone Christian Books and Resources in Skipton recently experienced a great time at an away day together. Judith Wigley reports; “There were 14 of us in total, including 3 paid staff, two Trustees, 8 volunteers and a guest who led one of our sessions.”
The team spent the day amongst the Christian community at Scargill House in Kettlewell. “The community provided us with a lovely space in which to pray, talk and share – as well as a delicious lunch,” says Judith.
The team spent time looking at the shape and growth of Cornerstone, trying to identify what they do well, less well and what they should stop doing, or take on. They concluded the day by looking at those things which might prevent them from moving forward.
Judith says it was a difficult decision closing the shop for the day, “But we have no regrets. Sometimes we just have to invest in prayer and people and this was certainly a great occasion to do both.
