May 14th, 2018 is a very significant date for me (along with it being the birth date of my daughter and the establishment of the State of Israel).

Not only is it when my latest book series, ‘Amazing Agents of God’ is published but it also marks 30 years to the day since I had an encounter with God which revolutionised my life and began my writing career.

In short, it was my own personal Pentecost and just as the baptism in the Holy Spirit transformed Jesus’ disciples, likewise it radically changed me.

One major result of this encounter was that God gave me a passion for writing and illustrating books which sought to bring alive the Bible and the things of God to children.

Over the years I’ve had the privilege of producing around 50 books with that aim. But there was always going to be more.

Whilst each of these books gives kids a fun-filled entrée to the Bible or tackles key Christian themes, I still had an unfilled desire to produce a book series which went one step further and catalysed children to be active and effective disciples of Jesus; to be agents of God.

It’s great being able to give children an understanding of God and it’s wonderful when they come to know him personally.

But being a follower of Jesus doesn’t stop at this.

As Jesus’ disciples discovered, it requires on-going training and equipping to enable us to carry out the Great Commission.

And that’s what Amazing Agents of God are all about.

This exciting new book series retells the stories of well known Bible characters and repackages them as accounts of agents of God on a mission for him.

Styled as Agents Reports they create the opportunity for the child to learn from the successes (and the failure) of these biblical agents of God and to apply this knowledge to their 21st-century lives.

Agent-style graphics and cartoons add to the whole look and feel of the product.

There’s also an Amazing Agents of God vocabulary which includes: The God Files (the Bible), Hotline to Heaven (prayer) and Agent Outposts (churches).

There’s also the chance for the child to become an agent of God for themselves if they’re not yet a follower of Jesus.
