A passionate communicator, Louie Giglio is the visionary founder, director and principle voice of Passion Conferences.

Louie Giglio is the pastor of Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia, a local community of faith and centre of the Passion Movement.

Louie Giglio – passionate advocate for Jesus Christ with a fascination and love for everything created. Communicator, founder and principle speaker of Passion Conferences and 268 Generation. Louie Giglio's heart is for the significance of the "university moment" when opportunities to bring Christ into young lives is at its greatest.

Passion Church and Conferences are about spiritual awakening in this generation of students, proclaiming; “Your name and renown are the desire of our souls,” (Isaiah 26:8). Louis Giglio is a pastor of Passion City Church, Atlanta, Georgia with worship leaders Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman. He also heads up Sixstepsrecords.

Call to ministry

Born 30 June 1958, Louie Giglio studied for his Masters in Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas, completing his Doctorship in ministry at Grace Theological Seminary. With his wife Shelley, Louie Giglio began a weekly Bible study called ‘Choice’ at Baylor University.

The impact of Choice was so great that over 10 percent of Baylor students attended the weekly gathering. Following his father’s death in 1995, a ‘clear vision’ from God lead Louie and Shelley to begin what would become the Passion Conference ministry to students and universities.

With music publishing and recording as part of his ministry, Louie also heads up independent sixstepsrecords. As well as launching new Christian bands and musicians, Sixsteprecords is also home to artist/worship leaders Chris Tomlin, David Crowder*Band, Charlie Hall and Matt Redman.

Passion Conferences

Since May 2000, the Passion Movement has reached out to more than a million university students across America and more through the internet and DVD releases. His Passion Talks DVDs including ‘Indescribable’ and ‘How Great Is Our God’ watched and heard by churches and individuals around the world.

Rooted in Isaiah 26:8 - "Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts", The Passion Movement seeks to inspire a generation to live in the full experience of God through Jesus.

Louie Giglio is the author of  a number of books including ‘The Air I Breathe: Worship as a Way of Life’, and ‘I Am Not But I Know I Am: Welcome to the Story Of God’. His Passion Talks Indescribable DVD is complemented by a full colour coffee table gift book, co authored with Matt Redman, and available from Eden.co.uk in hardback and soft covers.
