Come, Climb Toward God

Come Climb Toward God is a book about some steps toward growing spiritually through learning how to recognize the calls of God. Getting to a place where you can understand how God works with you through the Holy Spirit is the point of this book. These are not all the calls of God, and much more could be written. This is a starting point to become conscious of God's calls upon your life.

(1) Seeking Jesus is the starting point of your relationship with God. This chapter will answer the question of "how".

(2) The Lordship of Jesus over your life is important to progress in spiritual growth. Understanding the difference between salvation and Lordship is critical to your continued climb toward God.

(3) Finding your place of service is vital to your satisfaction in using the spiritual gift or gifts of the Holy Spirit.

(4) Few people understand the call of crucifixion to self in the ongoing ministry for others in Jesus' name.

(5) After crucifixion of self, Resurrection naturally follows. It is vital a person understands that a new life brings opportunities to serve one never imagined could be possible.

(6) Sometimes people get so involved in service, that they get exhausted. God does not intend for that to happen. What is the answer? The call to Rest.

(7) Closely related to the growth step of Rest is realizing the call to abide in Christ. People struggle with the idea of being close to God. You cannot be any closer than you are to Him when you understand what it means to abide.
